Lones Cub Scouts Print E-mail

The NSW Lones Scout Group, which began in 1915, offers Scouting to young people who want to participate in Scouting and who cannot get along to a regular Scout Group every week. Lones Scouts are people from remote or isolated farms, small towns, islands or overseas. Or they might be at a boarding school, travelling around Australia, or suffering from a chronic illness or disability.

To be a Lones Cub Scout you must live at least 12 km from the nearest Scout Group with a Cub Pack.

The Lones Cub Pack operates like a distance learning group with:

  • Weekly programs with fun activities – games, nature, stories, singing, dance, drama, learning and sense activities, imagination and discovery.
  • Life, leadership and bush skills
  • Holiday at home activities
  • Overnight Cub Pack camps and activities
  • And a great deal of parental involvement.

As far as possible, activities are as similar to those of regular Packs or Sections.
