|Buses, Ferries and Trains Patrol Activity|
This year had an amazing turnout for the Buses, Ferries and Trains (B.F.T) Activity Patrol, attracting up to 130 Scouts and Leaders from the Hume and South Metropolitan Regions – as well as a few curious Venturers!
On Sunday July 19, Scout Groups gathered at Central Railway Station before setting off on an 8-hour pre-planned journey across Sydney, using various methods of transport.
Mapping it all out on their own, some patrolled as far as Springwood, Woy Woy and Kiama – including 1st Wattle Grove, who caught a train to and from Springwood, a bus to Circular Quay, Ferry to Darling Harbour and Light Rail back to Central.
Other groups didn’t leave the city, but found joy in discovering the beauty of iconic architecture sites such as St Paul's Cathedral.
The B.F.T Activitiy Patrol has expanded significantly since it first began in 1997 and there are high hopes to make it even bigger next year!
