Clean Up Australia Day 2016 Print E-mail

Clean up Australia Day will be held on Sunday, March 6 next year and registrations are now open!
During 2015 more than 15,000 young Aussies took to their streets, beaches, parks, bushland and waterways to remove rubbish under the banner of Clean Up. Together they removed around 1,324 ute loads of rubbish - rubbish that would, if left ignored, continue to create havoc for our wildlife.

These willing volunteers were people just like you - Scouts, Girl Guides, members of local youth groups, university and high school students - every one of whom had a burning desire to get rid of accumulating rubbish.

Being part of that action is as simple as locating an area nearby that needs attention. Did you see heaps of rubbish along that bike path? Is the local creek becoming a dumping ground? Are you sick of seeing rubbish on the beach? Have you found evidence of animals being armed by careless littering? Do tossers make you angry? If you answered yes to any of these, help do something about it!

Head over to the Clean Up Australia website to find out how you can register your Scout Group.
