|Deputy Chief Commissioners Appointed|
Today, Scouts NSW Chief Commissioner Neville Tomkins OAM JP, announced the outcome of the selection process for the six recently advertised roles for Deputy Chief Commissioner (DCC).
The process included state-wide advertisement, shortlisting and interviews for all DCC positions. All applicants were evaluated based on merit by Selection Panels comprised of three Scout Members that included a gender mix as well as a young person.
Thank you to all applicants for their interest in the various positions.
Congratulations to the newly appointed Deputy Chief Commissioners who will be introduced at the March Chief Commissioner’s Council on 18 and 19 March at Baden Powell Scout Centre.
Scouts NSW is excited at the talent and experience these appointees will bring to the roles. Further background information will be published shortly.
On behalf of Scouts NSW, the Chief Commissioner wishes to sincerely thank each of the retiring Deputy Chief Commissioners for their valuable contributions over many years - Jan Goodall, Peter Oliver, Terry Brooke, Rob Rodgers and Margaret Crawford. Collectively, they committed extensive time and deep experience to the strategic development of Scouts NSW.
They led Scouting with professionalism and have successfully implemented multiple facets of the Movement including the youth program, events, issues management and training. With appointments ranging from 2010-2015, the team of Deputy Chief Commissioners has contributed more than 25 years’ service to Scouts NSW through these roles alone.
