|Five Scouts Invested at the Air Activity Centre|
On Sunday April 3, Scouts, Cubs and a Joey from Shellharbour, Putney and Brush Park attended the Air Activity Centre for an adventurous day of flying. It was particularly special for five Scouts from 1st Shellharbour who were sworn in as official Scout Members on the day.
All who attended (around 83 Members) got the chance to experience the wondrous birds-eye-view of Warragamba Dam and the scenery below from one of the AAC's light aircraft.
Then later, a short ceremony was held for the five new Scouts, where they made a promise to their Group Leader and were presented with their uniform badges and Scout scarf.
(Invested Scouts Tyrone Paplavska, Ashley Hardcastle, Phoenix Thurgar, Balin Moir and Liam Furney wearing their new scarves)
1st Shellharbour Scout Leader, Chris Bull said it was a fun day for all involved. “I would like to thank the whole team for a great day yesterday and for letting us invest some new scouts at one of the planes and for helping in the ceremony," he said.
Congratulations guys! We hope you enjoy all of your future Scouting adventures!
