Lindfield Rovers Hiking to Keep the Doctors Flying Print E-mail

On the 27th of June 2015, eight Rovers from Linfield Rover Crew will be setting out on a 14 day journey across the 223km of Larapinta Trail and are aiming to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

The Lindfield Rovers, along with a few of their friends are off on this expedition as they have always loved big challenges and big trips. Their last major Trip in 2011 was riding postie bikes to Cape York, The Most Northern Point in Australia and raised $10,530 for the McGrath Foundation, so they were keen to get out and do another big trip.

Nick Conolly who is the expedition leader said the fundraising is a task they have always set out to do as a way of giving back, and has always played a big role in their expeditions. This time they are aiming to raise over $10,000 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and giving the location of the expedition, there was no better charity to fundraise for.

They will be doing this fundraising through the means of a raffle and online donations so if you want to know more head to to donate, or follow their trip on Facebook at, so please get behind them as they go hiking and fundraise for a fantastic organisation.
