|Scouts Flying the Flag at Wings Over Illawarra|
Scouts Australia NSW was well represented at the recent Wings Over Illawarra airshow, held 30 April - 01 May at the Illawarra Regional Airport.
A dedicated team of 14 volunteers from the Air Activity Centre at Camden manned the Scouts publicity booth and fielded hundreds of enquiries from members of the public.
People were pleasantly surprised to hear that the Centre offers Air Activity Days to Scout Groups and flight training (at very competitive rates) to Members of Scouts. Another great reason to join your local Scout Group!
Budding young pilots even got to sit in the cockpit of VH-JBC, one of the fleet of four Cessna 172 aircraft owned by Scouts Australia NSW and managed by the Centre.
The Scouts Australia NSW Air Activity Centre wishes to express its appreciation to the Wings Over Illawarra organisers for their ongoing support of community organisations such as ours (and for providing Scouts with one of the best booth locations at the airshow!).
