We have a fleet of power boats, sailing boats, canoes which include five Corsairs, three Lasers, an Envy, twenty three canoes, two 4.7 meter Zodiac inflatable's, and two Tinny's. So you don't need to have boats to be on the water with us you use ours.

What we do:

Water Activities Days, showing everyone the time of their lives out on the greatest waterway in the world through one day familiarization experience in sailing, power boats & canoes. We run courses in sailing, canoeing, & power boating at various levels. These include a course in canoeing specially for Cub badge work and an assessment course for NSW Maritime Boat License. That's right you can earn your boat license within the Scout Association, as well as Drive a Small Power Boat or Sail a Dingy certification from Yachting Australia.

The Water Base has been situated at the Pointy end of the Point Road Woolwich since 1973, ever since the Hunters Hill Sailing Club moved to Merrington Place Woolwich. We have water access to the Lane Cove River and Sydney Harbour.

The base is staffed by volunteers of the Scout Association who are permanently attached to the base, as well as many leaders from Groups all over Sydney. The staff are known as S.W.A.T (Scout Water Activity Team) are a group of highly qualified, & motivated people, who are dedicated to training the youth, & adult members of the Scout Association. SWASH is open to all members from Joeys, through to Leaders; yes this also includes Venturer's & Rovers. Many parents also enjoy coming out on the water. To avail your group of the all the SWASH has to offer, you just have to decide on what you want to do and contact us.
