Group Leaders are to complete the NSW Health COVID-19 Safety Plan – Community Centres and Halls.  Once you have completed this plan, Group Leaders are required to complete the Scouts NSW Readiness checklist and upload a PDF copy of the NSW Health COVID-19 Safety Plan.  This plan and checklist will be reviewed by your Region Commissioner.  It is important to remember, Councils and other property owners might ask for a copy of the Group’s plan.

Submit your COVID-19 Safety Plan for Scout Halls and complete the readiness checklist on-line here.

If your Group does not have a Service NSW QR Code, apply for the free QR code by registering your Scout property with the NSW Government here.

Day Activities - Request for Provisional Approval Form

From 7 December 2020, this form is no longer in use however managing the risk of spread remains an essential part of planning and conducting successful activities.  Leaders and other organisers should include COVID-19 considerations in their overall risk assessment for the specific activity. In the lead up to the activity, monitor the situation and make the appropriate go or no-go decision or modifications based on location, Scouting advice and current public health orders etc.

COVID Safe Plans for Scout Camps and Activity Centres

Scout Camps and Activity Centres may accept overnight guests once they have met certain conditions and have the necessary approval for their COVID-19 Safety Plan. Region Campsite or Activity Centre Managers can contact their Region Commissioner or State Office to obtain a copy of the Guidelines for Campsites and Activity Centres to lodge their COVID-19 Safety Plan. Apply for the free QR code by registering your Scouts property with the NSW Government here.  We appreciate that not all camps and activities will re-open in the short term – so if Groups are planning an overnight activity, they should liaise with the Site Manager to understand the anticipated date for re-opening and the booking policy. Leaders holding overnight Group stays at Activity Centres or in tents should read the separate, more detailed information provided for holding overnight activities.
