DESCRIPTION:Closing date: 19 May 2023 \nCost: $160 – Residential and Catered (Camp overnight onsite) \nThe Scouting Essentials training is a hands on weekend where participants can apply skills learned from the On Demand Training in a facilitated environment. Scouting Essentials is the first step on your pathway to a Certificate of Proficiency. \nIf you have completed a Basic Training course within the last 3 years\, you don’t have to now complete Scouting Essentials but do stay up to date with changes to the youth program. \nYou must complete the following pre-requisites BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE COURSE: \n\nIndividual Adult Volunteer Plan (IAVP) Phase 1 – New Leader form\n(IAVP Phase 1 form can be found here under “Group Leader Resources”)\nScouting Preliminary On Demand Training\nScouting Essentials On Demand Training\nAccess to a copy of the New Program Handbook (available from the Scout Shop when signed in as a Scout member)\n\nTo apply\, please complete the form below. \nDue to Covid\, course numbers are limited. Applications will be accepted in order received\, with preference given to those applicants having completed the pre-requisites above.  \nCourse fees will be charged on enrolment to this course and please be aware that the course cancelation policy listed below applies. \nPlease contact Training with any questions –\nPhone: (02) 9735 9000\nEmail: training@nsw.scouts.com.au \nThe following cancelation policy is applicable to this training; \n\nWithdrawal before the Closing Date – Full refund\nWithdrawal after the closing date of the course – less $20 charge\nWithdrawal less than 5 days before the course – No refund\n(Exceptional circumstances will be considered by your RCATD)\n\nIMPORTANT INFORMATION \n\nThe application must be completed by the applicant\, or if under 18 years old\, the applicant’s parent/guardian.\nCompleted application and payment for full course fees must be sent directly to the Scouts NSW Training Team at State Office. \nApplications must be received before the closing date advertised in the Training Calendar.\nAll prerequisites must be completed before applying and before the closing date.\nYour basic information may be shared with the Department of Communities and Justice for the purpose of grant reporting.\n\nRegister for this event\nThis course is closed and no longer taking applications.
