DESCRIPTION:Closing date: 15th September 2023 \nCost: $160 – Residential and Catered (Stay overnight onsite) \nThe Scouting Essentials training is a hands on weekend where participants can apply skills learned from the On Demand Training in a facilitated environment. Scouting Essentials is the first step on your pathway to a Certificate of Proficiency. \nIf you have completed a Basic Training course within the last 3 years\, you don’t have to now complete Scouting Essentials but do stay up to date with changes to the youth program. \nYou must complete the following pre-requisites BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE COURSE: \n\nIndividual Adult Volunteer Plan (IAVP) Phase 1 – New Leader form\n(IAVP Phase 1 form can be found here under “Group Leader Resources”)\nScouting Preliminary On Demand Training\nScouting Essentials On Demand Training\nAccess to a copy of the New Program Handbook (available from the Scout Shop when signed in as a Scout member)\n\nTo apply\, please complete the form below. \nDue to Covid\, course numbers are limited. DESCRIPTION:Closing date: 15 September 2023 \nCost: $90.00 (Residential and self-catered) \nNote: Overnight stay in your own hike tent is a requirement of this course. \n  \nThis course is the Scouting Adventure course that is required for all Leader of Youth and Rovers (for personal development) completing Phase one of the training program. \nIf you have completed a Basic Outdoor Skills (BOS) or equivalent\, you don’t have to complete Scouting Adventure\, but do stay up to date with changes to the youth program. \nYou must complete the following pre-requisites BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE COURSE: \n\nIndividual Adult Volunteer Plan (IAVP) Phase 1 – New Leader form (For Leaders who have joined the organisation from 1st April 2022 )\n(IAVP Phase 1 form can be found here under “Group Leader Resources”)\nScouting Preliminary On Demand Training\nScouting Essentials On Demand Training\nScouting Essentials Practical Course – Not required if you have done BPS Sectional within 3 years\nScouting Adventure On Demand Training modules (previously known as e-Basic Outdoor Skills)\n\n  \nThis course is a self-catering course and leaders will need to bring their own hike (light weight) tent. \nTo apply\, please complete the form below. \n  \nIf you have experience in camping and bushwalking\, including day walks\, you could consider completing this via our Recognition of Proficiency (ROP) process. \nTo apply for a ROP workbook\, you need to have completed the Scouting Adventure On Demand Training modules and complete the application here. The cost of the ROP is $45. \n  \nDue to Covid\, course numbers are limited.
