DESCRIPTION:Closing date: 15-Mar-24 \nPlease note that the course delivery is not being managed by Scout NSW. We will be taking Scouts NSW member applications but further details regarding the course will be sent by Scouts VIC including the issuing of the invoice for the below course fees. \nCost: $120 non-residential 2 online evening sessions + 1 day face to face) \nThe Scouting Essentials training is a hands on weekend where participants can apply skills learned from the On Demand Training in a facilitated environment. Scouting Essentials is the first step on your pathway to a Certificate of Proficiency. \nIf you have completed a Basic Training course within the last 3 years\, you don’t have to now complete Scouting Essentials but do stay up to date with changes to the youth program. \nYou must complete the following pre-requisites BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE COURSE: \n\nIndividual Adult Volunteer Plan (IAVP) Phase 1 (IAVP Phase 1 form can be found here)\nScouting Preliminary On Demand Training\nScouting Essentials On Demand Training\nAccess to a copy of the New Program Handbook (available from the Scout Shop when signed in as a Scout member)\nProficient with Microsoft Teams/Zoom (Online courses only)\nAccess to a computer with camera and microphone (Online courses only)\nWillingness to download the Microsoft teams/Zoom application to the above device (Online courses only)\n\nTo apply\, please click the link below. \n Course numbers are limited. SUMMARY:GG's Camp 2024
DESCRIPTION:A once-in-a-lifetime experience\, open to all age sections from Joey Scouts to Rover Scouts. Camp on the grounds of Government House\, Canberra\, and embark on an action-packed program of adventure. \n \nGG’s Camp 2024 is a once in a lifetime opportunity\, bringing together everyone from Joey Scouts to Rover Scouts to participate in adventurous\, fun\, challenging and inclusive activities linked to Milestones\, Outdoor Adventure Skills and Special Interest Areas. \nBringing our vision to life\, all participants from Joey Scouts to Rover Scouts will camp together in Units\, supported by adult Leaders. Units will camp together\, eat together\, and support wellbeing together. \nThe Camp will be held Sunday 14th April to Friday 19th April 2024 at Government House Canberra. Activities will be held across the Australian Capital Territory. \nApplications to attend GG’s Camp 2024 have been extended and will close end of the year 2023. \nJoey Scouts and Cub Scouts will be invited to arrive on Tuesday 16 April and depart Friday 19 April 2024. \nScouts\, Venturer Scouts and Rover Scouts will attend for the full duration of the Camp. \nFor more information and to register\, visit https://scouts.com.au/event/ggcamp2023/
