DESCRIPTION:Closing date: 19-Jul-24 \nPlease note that the course delivery is not being managed by Scout NSW. We will be taking Scouts NSW member applications but further details regarding the course will be sent by Scouts VIC including the issuing of the invoice for the below course fees. \nCost: $120 non-residential 2 online evening sessions + 1 day face to face) \nThe Scouting Essentials training is a hands on weekend where participants can apply skills learned from the On Demand Training in a facilitated environment. Scouting Essentials is the first step on your pathway to a Certificate of Proficiency. \nIf you have completed a Basic Training course within the last 3 years\, you don’t have to now complete Scouting Essentials but do stay up to date with changes to the youth program. \nYou must complete the following pre-requisites BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE COURSE: \n\nIndividual Adult Volunteer Plan (IAVP) Phase 1 (IAVP Phase 1 form can be found here)\nScouting Preliminary On Demand Training\nScouting Essentials On Demand Training\nAccess to a copy of the New Program Handbook (available from the Scout Shop when signed in as a Scout member)\nProficient with Microsoft Teams/Zoom (Online courses only)\nAccess to a computer with camera and microphone (Online courses only)\nWillingness to download the Microsoft teams/Zoom application to the above device (Online courses only)\n\nTo apply\, please click the link below. \n Course numbers are limited.
