DESCRIPTION:Closing date: 10-Oct-2025 \nCost: $225 \nThe Scouting Leadership training is a course where participants can build on the skills and knowledge gained from phase one of their training pathway and develop their skills in leadership and personal development. During the course\, each participant will be set a unique project to complete with specific aims and tying back to one of the 17 Sustainable Development Guides and to a Scouting Fundamental. \nThe Scouting Leadership training is a required component to complete the stage of your training pathway where Leaders will be issued with a Wood Badge Parchment\, Wood Beads and the Gilwell Scarf. \nThese pre-requisites must be completed BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE COURSE: \n\nCertificate of Proficiency (or equivalent)\nScouting Adventure or equivalent for Youth Program Leaders who have not yet completed this\nIndividual Adult Volunteer Plan (IAVP) Phase 2 form (IAVP Phase 2 form can be found here)\nOn Demand Scouting Leadership (We understand that not all modules are available. If you are planning on becoming a Rover Unit Leader or Rover Advisor\, you should complete the Program Support Leader pathway. \nIf you have completed a Basic Outdoor Skills (BOS) or equivalent\, you don’t have to complete Scouting Adventure but do stay up to date with changes to the youth program. \nYou must complete the following pre-requisites BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE COURSE: \n\nIndividual Adult Volunteer Plan (IAVP) Phase 1 Youth Program Leader if you are currently a Program Support Leader changing training pathways (The form can be found here)\nScouting Essentials Practical Course (or equivalent)\nScouting Adventure On Demand Training modules (previously known as e-Basic Outdoor Skills)\n\nThis course is a self-catering course. Leaders will also need to bring their own hike (light weight) tent\, and all equipment required for a hike.
