DESCRIPTION:This event is for Venturers who wish to gain abseiling qualifications regardless of their present level of ability. So if you are at the zero end and haven’t abseiled before or at the hero end and done loads of abseiling but don’t have a peice of paper to proove it. This is the program for you.\nWe will work through the various skills and theory that you will require with the aim of everyone coming out the other end with an appropriate level of qualification and a clear view of how to continue to develop these skills and qualification levels. \nTo acheive this you will not only need to engage fully in the weekend program but complete some of the Scout online learning modules and attend an online meeting prior to the event. \nIf you have registered with the Scout Association Institute of Training (SAIT) you may also be able to get credit towards Cert II or Cert III VET modules.

DESCRIPTION:The Cub Scout Leadership Course offers interested Cub Scouts an opportunity to meet new people and develop their own communication\, teamwork and leadership skills.\nThe course will be targeted at Cub Scouts working on Milestone 2 and 3 – if numbers exceed the nominal limit\, preference may be given based on age. \nWe will be completing a number of activities on the day\, with the intent that some of these will be outside. Please come prepared to be outside\, potentially in the weather\, and bring a day pack with items you would need for the day\, including snacks\, lunch and water. \nCub Scouts should also bring their Unit Code with them.

DESCRIPTION:Splashdown was last held in 2018\, and its back by request!\nThis camp is designed to give scouts basic canoe skills – water safety\, paddling strokes and deep-water rescue techniques etc\, in line with requirements for OAS Paddling Level 1-4. \nThis is a fully catered camp so all food and drink will be provided\, this includes – Friday supper (please arrange for your own dinner); – Saturday Breakfast\, MT\, Lunch\, AT\, Dinner; – Sunday Breakfast\, MT\, Lunch. \nThe camp site will be open for set up from 4-00pm Friday\, but please arrange for your own dinner Friday night. \nThe cost also covers camping fee.
