DESCRIPTION:Closing date: 5-Jul-24 \nCost: $90 Residential and self-catered \nNote: Overnight stay in your own hike tent is a requirement of this course. \nThis course is the Scouting Adventure course that is required for all Youth Program Leader and Rover Scouts (for personal development) to complete their Certificate of Proficiency Youth Program Leader. If you are planning on becoming a Rover Unit Leader or Rover Advisor\, you should complete the Program Support Leader pathway. \nIf you have completed a Basic Outdoor Skills (BOS) or equivalent\, you don’t have to complete Scouting Adventure but do stay up to date with changes to the youth program. \nYou must complete the following pre-requisites BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE COURSE: \n\nIndividual Adult Volunteer Plan (IAVP) Phase 1 Youth Program Leader if you are currently a Program Support Leader changing training pathways (The form can be found here)\nScouting Essentials Practical Course (or equivalent)\nScouting Adventure On Demand Training modules (previously known as e-Basic Outdoor Skills)\n\nThis course is a self-catering course. Camp on the grounds of Government House\, Canberra\, and embark on an action-packed program of adventure. \n \nGG’s Camp 2024 is a once in a lifetime opportunity\, bringing together everyone from Joey Scouts to Rover Scouts to participate in adventurous\, fun\, challenging and inclusive activities linked to Milestones\, Outdoor Adventure Skills and Special Interest Areas. \nBringing our vision to life\, all participants from Joey Scouts to Rover Scouts will camp together in Units\, supported by adult Leaders. Units will camp together\, eat together\, and support wellbeing together. \nThe Camp will be held Sunday 14th April to Friday 19th April 2024 at Government House Canberra.
