If you are planning on becoming a Rover Unit Leader or Rover Advisor\, you should complete the Program Support Leader pathway. \nIf you have completed a Basic Outdoor Skills (BOS) or equivalent\, you don’t have to complete Scouting Adventure but do stay up to date with changes to the youth program. \nYou must complete the following pre-requisites BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE COURSE: \n\nIndividual Adult Volunteer Plan (IAVP) Phase 1 Youth Program Leader if you are currently a Program Support Leader changing training pathways (The form can be found here)\nScouting Essentials Practical Course (or equivalent)\nScouting Adventure On Demand Training modules (previously known as e-Basic Outdoor Skills)\n\nThis course is a self-catering course. DESCRIPTION:This will be a compressed Venturer Leadership course and will cover various leadership styles and techniques. To complete the requirements for the Queens Scout award an additional leadership activity will need to be completed after the course. This will be discussed and planned as part of the course. This is a uniformed event so please arrive in full uniform. Please also BYO lunch\, morning and afternoon tea. The hall has an excellent kitchen with microwave\, boiling water and fridge. We will be taking Scouts NSW member applications but further details regarding the course will be sent by Scouts VIC including the issuing of the invoice for the below course fees. \nCost: $140 Residential \nNote: Overnight stay in your own hike tent is a requirement of this course. \nThis course is the Scouting Adventure course that is required for all Youth Program Leader and Rover Scouts (for personal development) to complete their Certificate of Proficiency Youth Program Leader. DESCRIPTION:An Australian Jamboree is an experience like no other. The next Australian Jamboree will be held in Maryborough\, Queensland\, from 6th – 15th January 2025. \nJamboree is a camp which is held every three years by Scouts Australia. The Jamboree is traditionally held in early January and typically runs for ten nights. Each Scouting Branch (State) is the effective host of the Australian Jamboree and takes responsibility for its management.
