Welcome to Scouts Australia NSW!

As part of a worldwide organisation, Scouts Australia NSW engages and inspires young Australians to develop confidence, resilience and leadership. We are the best at delivering fun diverse programs that develop skills for life!

Who can join Scouts?

Boys and girls, young people and all parents are welcome! Scouting has programs catering for youth of all abilities, aged 5 to 25. Click the links below for more information on each Section.

Where are Scouts?

Probably quite near you. Over 400 Scout Groups are scattered across NSW! Find your local Scout Group here.

How much does Scouts cost?

There is a one-off joining fee of $60 and a $270 yearly State Membership Fee (from 1 January 2023). In addition, there are some uniform and local Group fees.

How safe is Scouts?

Scouts has set new standards in childcare protection.

  • All Scout Leaders are trained by Scouts Australia, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) since 2003.
  • Two or more adult Leaders are present at all Scouts activities.
  • At least one person qualified in First Aid is present at all Scouts activities.
  • Working with Children Checks are carried out on every adult who applies to become a Leader.
  • Working with Children Checks are regularly reviewed.

Young Australians want fun, friends, excitement and adventure - Scouts has all that! Parents value honesty, respect, trustworthiness, responsibility and confidence in their children.
