The State Leader (Cycling) is a member of the Educational Support team within the Youth Program and Support portfolio, responsible for supporting the work of the Cycling Leads.
The SL Cycling is focused on helping adult and youth members achieve the best possible program and outcomes, specifically related to Cycling opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and promoting Cycling as an Adventurious Activity within the Youth Program across the State
- Ensuring Scouts NSW has relevant and current Policies and Rules in place to meet required Codes
- Supporting Region Adventurious Activity Teams to ensure they are supporting youth of all sections to participate in Adventurious Activities (including through provision of section Activity Resources), specifically in relation to Cycling.
- Supporting Activity Team Leaders in regard to training requirements for their team members.
The 2021 State structure was recently announced. More information is available to answer questions asked during the feedback period.
This position is open to any member or supporter who has an associated area of expertise or interest and who believes they can make a positive difference to Scouting in NSW.
