Scouts from across New South Wales will celebrate World Scout Day on Thursday 1st August 2019!
World Scout Day is a worldwide event that gives all former and active Scouts an opportunity to wear their scarves in public to raise awareness of the local Scouting community.
We’re inviting all members to wear their Scout scarf to work, school or wherever the day finds them, and to tie a Friendship Knot on their scarf to symbolise the bonds of friendship they’ve made through Scouts!
Get involved and wear your scarf – you can request permission from your school to wear your scarf with your uniform by taking in a letter to your principal. Download our letter here and simply personalise it with your details: Letter To Principal
Don’t forget to post a photo of yourself wearing your scarf, and be sure to use the hashtags #nswscarfchallenge #scoutscarfday on Facebook and Instagram so we can share your photos.
Scout Scarf Day is a great opportunity to celebrate what it means to be a Scout!
Once a Scout, Always a Scout!
