2020 marks 30 years of Joey Scouts in NSW!
To celebrate this milestone, we're launching the 30 Year Joey Scout Postcard Exchange within NSW!
About the Postcard Exchange
The 30 Year Joey Scout Postcard Exchange will see Joey Units create and swap 30 postcards with 30 different Joey Units across the State.
This program aims to assist Joey Units with promoting their local area, wildlife, Unit adventures and much more.
Postcards can be created online using programs such as Canva, an online graphic design program (https://www.canva.com/) or Word, PowerPoint etc.
Each Joey Scout within the Unit could design a postcard each, depicting their Scouting adventures over the past few months. The ways to create the postcards and the opportunities to showcase your local areas are endless!
How to get involved
Joey Units around NSW are invited to register to participate in the program, by completing this online form over the next four (4) weeks. The form will close at midnight on 25 September 2020.
What happens when we register?
After 25 September, we will share with all registered Units the details of every other registered Unit. The shared details will include the:
- Unit Coordinators Name
- Unit Coordinators Email
- Unit Name and Region
By sharing this information with other Units, this will allow each Unit to participate in the program, swapping 30 postcards with different Units around NSW. Please ensure the Unit Coordinator uses their @nsw.scouts.com.au email address when they register.
When will the postcard exchange take place?
The postcard exchange will take place from 1 October 2020 - 31 March 2021.
Is there a badge?
Yes! Postcard exchange Badges have been prepared and can be purchased at the time of Registration. An invoice will be issued for payment and badges posted once Payment has been received.
