After two years of Covid-19 lockdowns and disruptions to organised outdoor activities, Scouts NSW was proud to see 33 Venturer Scouts presented with their Queen’s Scout Award and 9 Rover Scouts presented with their Baden-Powell Scout Award at a ceremony at New South Wales Government House on Saturday 2 April.
Many Venturers and Rovers achieved their Queen Scout Awards in 2020 and 2021, and now are finally able to receive their certificates.
A big BRAVO to all awardees, and thanks to the Leaders, Units and Parents who have all helped them along the way to complete this prestigious award.
“Completion of the Queen’s Scout Award is a major milestone in a Venturers Scouting journey and carries an outstanding reputation within Scouting and the wider community. On behalf of Scouts NSW, I congratulate our local Queen’s Scout Award recipients and look forward to them returning to their local Scout halls to inspire younger Scouts.” – Neville Tomkins, OAM JP, Chief Commissioner, Scouts NSW.
