Step 6: Acquitting the grant application
Every grant needs to be acquitted after completing the project tasks as per the Funding Agreement executed with the Funder.
It is important to have the documents listed below when completing an acquittal report:
- Tax Invoices or receipts
- If applicable, before and after photos
- If applicable, proof of acknowledging the Funder in Group socials, newsletters, meetings, etc.

A simple thank you recognises the generosity of our funding partners and demonstrates the positive impact their support has on young people and local communities. It helps build strong relationships, celebrates shared success, and encourages future investment in Scouting.
How to Participate
- Download the Thank You Template here..
- Complete the project details on the template.
- Gather youth members and volunteers in front of the completed project, activity, or equipment.
- Hold up the sign and take a clear group photo.
- Email the photo to [email protected].
- The Scouts NSW Grants Team will include your photo in the acquittal report submitted to the funder.
Tip: A great photo helps show the real impact of the funder's support and gives them the recognition they deserve.
