The Chief Scout of Australia has appointed Mr. Neville Tomkins OAM Chief Commissioner of Scouts Australia NSW. His appointment commences on 1 August 2016.
Neville brings considerable depth of Scouting experience to the role.
He held the role of Chief Commissioner of the ACT Branch for nine years and for the last six years has been the International Commissioner for Scouts Australia.
In 2010, Neville received the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his services to the community, particularly his youth leadership roles in the Scouting movement and in 2015 was awarded the Silver Koala.
Until recently, Neville was a First Assistant Secretary with the Department of Defence and served in the Senior Executive Service of the Australian Public Service for 25 years.
