One Program, One Journey, One Curriculum
Every Trainee Leader and Rover Scout will embark on a five step journey to become a fully trained leader. Our new curriculum will be consistent for all leaders, as we prepare to support our Scouts on their continuous journey through the Youth Program.
As you undertake your training pathway, you have the opportunity to implement your prior learning into your course, whether that is in specific actions for our Youth Program Leaders (Leaders of Youth) or supporting other adult members for our Program Support Leaders (Leaders of Adults).

Frequently Asked Questions
Leader Training Website
To apply for a Training Course, you will need to fill an online Training Application form which you can find by viewing the Training Calendar and selecting a course. Application need to be submitted before the closing date of the course.
If you have experience in camping and bushwalking, including day walks, you could consider completing your Scouting Adventure via our Recognition of Proficiency (ROP) process. To apply for a ROP workbook, you need to have completed the Scouting Adventure On Demand Training modules and apply for the Workbook here. The cost of the ROP is $45.
A: If you are unable to attend a course, you will need to email [email protected] or phone Training Services on 02 9735 9000. Withdrawing from a course may incur a fee. Please note the Scuba course falls outside the cancellation policy.
