The NSW Government has announced its first three year whole-of-government Strategic Plan for Children and Young people, with a focus on providing opportunities for young people to thrive and have their voices heard in their communities.
The initiative aims to help children and young people in NSW feel safe, connected, respected and healthy, and was put together after more than four thousand children and young people from across the state were interviewed and asked to express their views.
The plan was officially launched on July 26, 2016 and will run until 2019.
