What commitment does becoming a leader involve?

Leaders are required to fulfil the following responsibilities:
• Attend monthly meetings of Leaders
• Spend an average of 1-2 hours per week at group meetings during school term, with the additional planning and training on occasion
• Plan and run exciting weekly and weekend programs for your group.
• Lead group activities (e.g. hikes or camping trips) on a few weekends a year
• Supervise and provide instruction, assistance and testing of youth members in skills appropriate to the program of the section especially in topics and skills of the Award Scheme.
