2022 marks the 50th anniversary of The Scouts NSW Air Activity Centre providing Scouts, and other groups, with safe and fun aviation experiences right across NSW.
On Sunday 5th June, the Scouts NSW Air Activity Centre is celebrating 50 years of service at the Camden Airport. If you would like to read the history of the AAC, please click here.
Details of the day are as follows:
Date: Sunday, 5 June 2022
Venue: Air Activity Centre Camden Airport, 721 Aerodrome Road, Camden NSW
Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm
Dress: Full Scouts uniform for members and smart attire for guests.
Itinerary:
- Normal Air Activity Day with 2nd Gordon attending
- Additional activities including an official ceremony from 11am to 12noon including speeches and a plaque unveiling
- Hopefully 2-3 visiting aircraft including 1-2 aircraft from the Temora Aviation Museum and a helicopter from the NSW Police Air Wing
- A BBQ lunch and/or light refreshments
- AAC history display including memorabilia
Guests in attendance include the Chief Commissioner, prior and current AAC members, NSW Branch members, local members of parliament (federal and local), local councillors, local Scout Groups and the other tenants at the airport.
