For the first time ever, Scouts NSW will have a large display and activity base at the Caravan Camping Outdoor Lifestyle Expo in Sydney Olympic Park!
The event, which runs from Friday 20 – Sunday 22 September 2019, is expected to draw crowds of between 20,000 and 25,000 people, and presents an excellent opportunity to showcase the best of Scouting while attracting potential new members.
Preparations are well underway to ensure our fun and exciting voice is heard in the best possible way, but we need your help!
We’re looking for Scouts, Venturers, Rovers, Leaders, Adult Helpers and Supporters who could provide an activity for the weekend, help run and manage activities and game stations, or volunteer in any way.
We've been given the opportunity to activate the kids zone at the expo and turn it into the Scouts Zone, so no activity is too big or small. Plans are already in place to have a Scouts climbing wall set up for the weekend, and we’re looking for help designing our space so that it’s jam-packed with exhilarating attractions for kids and adults of all ages to enjoy!
Members have come up with some excellent crowd-pleasers in the past such as inflatable Bungee Runs, Rock n Roll Golf, Centrifuge Throwing, Minute to Win It games, Graffiti Walls, Bottle Rockets and more. So get your thinking caps on!
If you think you could provide or help run some activities, we’d love to hear from you. If you think you could contribute in another way, we’ll be looking for as many pairs of hands as possible over the three days to make this a success. Whether it’s handing out leaflets for an hour, attending our information desk, supervising activities or helping set up stalls, all help will be hugely appreciated.
All individuals who volunteer will have free entry to the Expo, giving you the opportunity to check out the newest and coolest camping and camping gear on show.
