As NSW opens up again after lockdown, and Scouts’ meetings start, lots of young people and their parents are going to be looking for activities where they can get outdoors, have fun, make new friends and generally get away from screen time. Earlier this year, Scouts saw a big increase in new member enquiries and the same is likely to happen in coming weeks and into 2022.
Are you looking to recruit new Leaders and helpers for your Group so you can help more young people into Scouts?
To kick start this Scouts NSW is relaunching its Leader Build program as we come out of lockdown. Leader Build is a guided program that helps Groups run a recruitment drive with parents, supporters and interested locals. It is a proven program that engages your community and can bring forward potential leaders and helpers. It is not hard to run, step by step guides are provided, and it can open up many opportunities to increase awareness of your group, engage with parents and bring forward potential leaders.
To get Groups started, there will be a Webinar on 21 October at 7 pm to train leaders on running Leader Build. We will walk you through all the information you will need and then will send you a resources pack. Just register now:
If you can’t attend, but want to discuss Leader Build, please email David Miller at [email protected].
