Scouts NSW are pleased to announce Carolyn Campbell as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Carolyn comes to Scouts with extensive experience leading a number of not-for-profit, member- based organisations. She was the Chief Executive of Netball NSW for almost 15 years and, more recently, the Interim CEO for Basketball Australia during a period of transition.
Drawing on her extensive experience in working with volunteers at the community grassroots level, and in leading significant organisational change, Carolyn is well placed to make a very real difference to Scouts NSW. She has a strong reputation as an empathetic leader, excellent experience in management and wide-ranging success in securing strategic partnerships that grow organisations.
During her tenure at Netball NSW, Carolyn supported ongoing governance and operational reform, resulting in significant growth in membership and increased profile for the organisation. She secured government funding to build a $35 million Centre of Excellence, Netball Central, and many more local grants for infrastructure improvements across the state. She is also the Chair of Sports NSW.
Carolyn will commence with Scouts NSW on Wednesday 5 January 2022.
Scouts NSW also takes this opportunity to thank Nathan Jones for being our Interim CEO since 8 October 2021. Nathan has brought valuable experience to the role to address challenges facing our organisation.
