Type of Challenge:
This is a Patrol Challenge. Each member of the patrol must contribute to the trick shot video, completing a trick with the toilet paper at least TWICE.
Resources Required:
- Patrol members
- Video recording device
- Toilet Paper
- Video editing program (e.g., iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci)
- Scout uniform
Challenge Description:
We’ve all seen one of those cool videos where trick photography makes it look like something is happening that isn’t. Like the gang of hockey players who are juggling “the same” toilet paper roll in this video.
It’s your turn to make one! Get creative! Try to be outside with this challenge but complete this in a safe manner. Each person in your patrol should feature TWO times doing a trick shot with toilet paper (either throwing and catching or hitting it up in the air with something like the hockey players) before passing it on to the next person. You could have a bit of dialogue at the beginning introducing a call out for a roll of toilet paper! Also, think of a clever way to end the video (could be a trick shot of the toilet paper roll landing on a hanger. Have fun with this! Film this in your Scout uniform.
Evidence Submission:
To complete this challenge, you need to submit a video compiling all patrol members videos together to look like the toilet paper has passed from each person to the next almost seamlessly. If you are having trouble uploading the video, you could upload it on your YouTube channel as an ‘unlisted’ video and provide the YouTube link for your submission. This means your video can only be seen by people who have a link to it.
